The North Region includes NHS Grampian, Highland, Orkney, Shetland and the Western Isles.
The region is in the process of setting up a North of Scotland simulation collaborative similar to that in
the East. It will be a forum where ideas, good practice, and resources can be shared across this vast geographical area. Currently discussions are ongoing with various healthcare professions to acquire a sense of what the gaps are in each area and what support can be offered while keeping interprofessional collaboration to the forefront. The region is looking to share practices with the senior educators from the other regions to ensure that the workforce is sustainable and meets the needs of patient groups regardless of location.
